Your sharing is switched off

You tapped Stop sharing my trails and claims. Nobody sees your recorded trails, your live position or your claims through Gold Monster until you turn something back on yourself, and trips you join or friends you add start with sharing off too.

Turning it back on switches nothing on by itself: every friend and trip you switched off stays off until you switch it on there. Friends and trips you add after this start with the usual settings.

Claims your friends share with you

Shared by them, for you only. Name, type, place and BLM serial — never their paperwork or deadlines.

What a friend can see

• Only the trips you send them. Being friends shows them none of your trips on its own — not your claims, not your paperwork, not your other trips, not your deadlines. A trip becomes visible to them when you send it and they accept it, and not before.
• Your claims: family by default, anyone else only if you choose. “Share my claims with them” is per friend. It is on for friends you label family (you can opt them out right there) and off for everyone else. When it’s on, that friend sees each claim’s name, type, state, county, BLM serial and acreage — never your paperwork, filings, deadlines, notes or documents. Switch it off and they stop seeing them at once.
• Your position only on a trip, only while it is on. Position sharing is per trip and on by default for anyone joining a trip from now on: the people on that trip (and only them) see where you are while the trip is on — on its dates, or after you tap Record — and it stops by itself after the last day. One tap on the trip, or on the bar at the top of every page, switches it off, and switching it off removes it straight away. Every position stops being shown two hours after it was taken. Stop all sharing (Friends) turns it all off at once.
• Your recorded trail: your crew sees it by default. Seeing each other’s routes is what a crew is for, so when you record a trip track, every friend here who is on that trip with you sees it — family, friend, co-worker or no label at all. Switch it off for one person with “Share my trail on trips we’re both on”, or for a whole trip with “Only me” on that trip. People on the trip who aren’t your friends here see it only if you choose “Everyone on this trip”. Recorded tracks are kept until you delete them, or your account.
• The label is yours. They never see it. Labelling someone family also shares your claims with them unless you opt them out; friend and co-worker see no claims by default. Changing the label away from family turns the claim share off again, but never a switch you set yourself, and it doesn’t change your trail, which your whole crew sees unless you switch it off.
• Your display name. That’s the only thing about your account they get. Not your email, not your claims, not where you live. You can change your display name in Account & Billing.
• Removing a friend stops you sending each other new trips. Trips you already sent stay with them — a package on someone else’s phone is on their phone.
• Blocking goes further: no requests, no sends, no positions either way, and any trip code of yours they were holding stops working for them.
